The following Rules and Regulations ("Betting Rules") govern all bets placed on the KangarooOdds platform. By placing a bet, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these rules. If a specific sport has individual rules, those specific rules will supersede the General Betting Rules.
1. General Betting Rules
1.1 Bet Acceptance and Settlement
- A bet is not considered valid until it has been confirmed by our system and a unique receipt/ticket number is generated.
- KangarooOdds reserves the right to decline all, or part, of any bet requested at our sole and absolute discretion.
- All bets will be settled based on the official results declared by the relevant governing body of the sport or event immediately after the match concludes. Subsequent protests, appeals, or overturned decisions will not affect the initial settlement.
1.2 Obvious Errors (Palpable Errors)
- While we strive to ensure absolute accuracy in all our betting lines, KangarooOdds reserves the right to void any bet where there is a clear and obvious error. This includes, but is not limited to, incorrectly posted odds (e.g., $101.00 instead of $1.01), incorrect handicap lines, or reversed match setups.
- In the event of an obvious error, all affected bets will be voided and stakes returned to the customer's account.
1.3 Abandonments and Postponements
- If an event is postponed and rescheduled to take place within 48 hours of the original start time, all bets stand.
- If an event is postponed and does not take place within 48 hours, all single bets will be voided and stakes returned. For multi-bets (parlays), the selection will be treated as a non-runner, and the odds will be recalculated accordingly.
- If an event is abandoned after it has started, all bets where the outcome has already been unconditionally determined will be settled. All other bets will be voided.
1.4 Dead Heat Rule
In the event of a tie or "Dead Heat" where two or more competitors finish in exactly the same position, your stake will be divided by the number of competitors involved in the tie. The divided stake is then multiplied by the original odds to calculate your return. The remaining portion of the stake is lost.
2. Sport-Specific Rules
2.1 Australian Rules Football (AFL)
- Match Betting: All bets are settled on the official final score at the end of regular time, including any extra time played, unless otherwise stated (e.g., "Normal Time Only" markets).
- Player Props: For player performance markets (e.g., Most Disposals, First Goalscorer), the player must be in the starting 22 (or selected substitute) and take the field for bets to stand. If a player does not take the field, bets will be voided.
- If a match ends in a draw and no extra time is played, "Draw" is the winning selection in 3-way markets. In 2-way Head-to-Head markets, the Dead Heat rule applies.
2.2 Rugby League (NRL)
- Match Betting: All bets include extra time (Golden Point) unless specifically stated otherwise.
- Tryscorers: Penalty tries do not count for First/Last/Anytime Tryscorer markets. If the first try is a penalty try, the subsequent tryscorer will be deemed the winner.
- If a match is abandoned before 80 minutes are played, all undecided markets will be voided.
2.3 Cricket
- Match Winner: In limited-overs matches (T20, ODI), bets will be settled according to the official competition rules (including Super Overs or Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method).
- Test Matches: If a Test Match is abandoned due to weather, bets will be voided unless official competition rules declare a winner. In the event of a draw, "Draw" is the winning selection.
- Top Batter/Bowler: The selected player must face at least one ball (batter) or bowl at least one ball (bowler) for bets to stand. Otherwise, bets will be voided.
2.4 Soccer
- 90 Minutes Play: Unless otherwise stated, all soccer bets are settled on the result at the end of 90 minutes of scheduled play. This includes injury/stoppage time but strictly excludes extra time and penalty shootouts.
- First Goalscorer: Own goals do not count for settlement purposes. If an own goal is scored first, the next valid goalscorer will be deemed the winner.
- VAR Decisions: Settlement will be based on the final decision made by the referee following a VAR review. We reserve the right to void bets placed during the time of an incident that leads to a VAR review.
2.5 Tennis
- Match Betting: For bets to stand, at least one full set must be completed. If a player retires or is disqualified after the first set is completed, the player progressing to the next round (or winning the tournament) will be deemed the winner. If the first set is not completed, all match bets will be voided.
- Set Betting: The full match must be completed for Set Betting markets to stand.
- Delay/Suspension: In the event of a weather delay or suspension due to darkness, all bets stand until the match is officially completed.
3. Maximum Payouts
KangarooOdds sets maximum payout limits on winning bets. These limits apply to any single customer, or group of customers acting together, backing the same combination of selections. The maximum payout per day across all sports is strictly capped at $250,000 AUD unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing prior to bet placement.
4. Cash Out Feature
- KangarooOdds may offer a 'Cash Out' option on selected events, allowing you to take a return before the event has concluded.
- The Cash Out offer is not guaranteed to be available at all times, and KangarooOdds reserves the right to remove the feature or suspend it during critical moments in a match (e.g., VAR reviews, penalties, dangerous attacks).
- Once a Cash Out is successfully accepted, the original bet is settled immediately. Subsequent results of the event will not affect your return.
5. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with the settlement of a bet, you must contact our Customer Support team within 14 days of the event concluding. You will need to provide your Bet ID and a brief explanation of the dispute. KangarooOdds will review the bet alongside official data feeds and governing body results to reach a final decision.
